The SoulPages Method
A visual language for talking with the unconscious
You open a new journal and the first page is white. Your hand stops. That is not a lack of talent. It is the fear of beginning, and every woman who has ever sat in front of an empty page knows it.
The SoulPages method was born at exactly that point. It grew out of the journals I began in 2014, and it has kept developing ever since. This page explains it from the ground up, and the full seven elements presentation is here too, open to anyone who wants it.
This is not an art class
SoulPages is not a drawing course and not an art class. It is a visual language that goes around the verbal mind and speaks directly with the unconscious.
When you have no words for what you feel, you still have color, line, image and text. They arrive before language does, which is why they reach further. It is why women who have never drawn anything find themselves, an hour later, in front of a page that says precisely what they could not say out loud.
The page itself is a container. Like a parent holding a child, it is strong enough to hold the whole range, from the darkest pain to the largest joy. Inside that container there is no critique and no grade, so you can speak there without fear.
You can do this without a method. It simply takes far longer
You can sit down with the page and try. Most women who work that way stop after three pages, not because they have nothing to say but because they have nowhere to start. A method gives every stage a clear way in, and then:
- ●the technique is learned quickly, instead of years of trial and error
- ●the pages come out genuinely beautiful, not only meaningful
- ●the sense of success arrives on the very first page
- ●you have a language for reaching the unconscious, instead of waiting for words
- ●a way back opens to the Dreaming Child, the part of you that speaks in images
- ●the frame is safe enough to hold the difficult feelings too
- ●the journal keeps speaking to you months after you closed it

One family, seven elements
A mother and a father hold the space, and five children are born inside it. They are one family, and not one of them works alone.
Intention. The air that lets the page breathe. It gives direction, purpose and a safe boundary, and it is the conscious decision to connect with yourself here and now.
The magic of chance. A principle of uncertainty, flexibility and embracing the unknown. This is where a mistake stops being a failure and becomes a message from the unconscious.
Background. Covering the white page is the first physical act. It dissolves the fear of beginning and creates stability, and the moment the mind stops judging you enter a state of creative reverie.
Image. Images are symbols and metaphors. They let you project an inner state onto an outer figure, and in them you see exactly what you need to see in yourself.
Line. The most direct statement of existence there is. Like a signature, it belongs to the woman who drew it. It brings order into chaos, defines boundaries and declares presence.
Color. Color bypasses the mind entirely and speaks straight to feeling. It sets the atmosphere of the page and opens a way to release, and every color carries its own energy.
Text. Text connects the visual right brain to the logical left brain, and lets you process and understand the abstract journey you just made on the page.
The alchemy of the page
A soul page is not a collection of parts. The magic happens when the elements meet and respond to one another, and that is where the real work begins. You change the composition, bring light into an area that stayed dark, reconnect two figures the page had separated.
You heal the image in order to heal the soul.
